Fellowship Opportunity

The College of Computing and Engineering (CCE) at Nova Southeastern University (classified as a research university with “high research activity” by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching) and a Hispanic-Serving Institution received grant support from the Department of Education to generate knowledge by examining student support strategies impacting the degree progression and attainment of Computer Science and Cybersecurity Management Ph.D. students.

There are six fellowships opportunities at NSU for students planning to pursue a Computer Science or Cybersecurity Management Ph.D. full-time and planning to pursue a career in teaching or research.  

Fellows receive tuition assistance through degree completion.  .

Eligibility:

  • Currently enrolled or admitted as Computer Science or Cybersecurity Management Ph.D. students at NSU. If interested you must first apply to NSU's College of Computing and Engineering graduate Computer Science or Cybersecurity Management program.
  • Have financial need (evidence of FAFSA completion or another similar document).

Requirements:

  • Provide a faculty reference letter and CV.
  • Have an excellent academic record (minimum cumulative 3.0 overall GPA and 3.25 GPA in major based on transcript).
  • Have financial need (evidence of FAFSA completion or another similar document).
  • Planning to pursue the PhD full-time and a career in teaching or research. 

As a recipient, a fellow must:

  1. Maintain satisfactory progress in the program;
  2. Devote to full-time study or research in the academic field in which the fellowship was awarded; and
  3. Not engage in gainful employment, except on a part-time basis in teaching, research, or similar activities determined by the College of Computing and Engineering to be in support of the fellow's progress toward a degree.
